My Boy Rocky wins

I entered "My Boy Rocky" in the Festival of Quilts show this year and was thrilled to receive a highly commended prize.

So exciting as have never entered a judged show before.

On the 11th and 12th July I attended a WQC workshop with Melissa Burdon

Prior to the workshop we sent a photo to Melissa.

The original photo I sent through.

The picture I received back.

 The picture was printed in pieces to full size and taped together

 Then made a template on freezer paper

 The nose done

 At the end of 2 days

 All of the class

 Another weekend of working on Rocky

It definitely looks like my boy
