Halberg Challenge

It is time to reveal the latest Halberg Group Challenge.
We were supplied with a photo of Lars Peter Halberg on cloth
and some pieces of fabric.
Make a heirloom quilt with some of the photo showing and
using some of the supplied fabric.  Could add other fabrics.
I wanted to show the direct line from Lars Peter Halberg to me.
so I printed off photos of me, (Claire Halberg),
 my father (Peter Elvery Halberg),
grandfather (Oswald Reuben Halberg) and put those details on too.
Pop is pictured here with Nanna (Violet Elizabeth Emily Pond).
My Father and Mother on their wedding day (Glenda Mawson)
and me and my husband (Stuart Harold Vivash).

Touch of Lace

At WQC we have a group doing 12 x12 Challenge.  We have 2 months
to complete these and the first of them was
"Touch of Lace"
The photo hasn't come out very well.  I used the left over material
from my wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses
 to make this crazy patch

More WQC Show

There is a lot of work involved in setting up a Quilt Show.
Somehow I am still recovering from it.
It was great to get 5 entries from the Jenny Hunter workshop.  All were
different and one even had a Christmas theme.
A selection of our President's ATC collection
 More of the Hoffman Challenge
Sorry the photos aren't better but I rushed around in between
working.

Too Pooped

Since 2005 we have been going away for a weeks holiday.  Initally
we stayed at a Bach right on the lake front of Lake Taupo.
That year I started the following Cross stitch
Stuart gave this to me for my birthday in 2003, I think.
We thought it looked like our cat Forrest.
This year I finally finished it.
It is now a memorial to Forrest
who died too young. (Feb 2002 to 19 Sep 2009)

Valentine ATC's

The February theme for ATC's at WQC was Valentine.
I wasn't going to the meeting but decided to make some and
posted them to Annette to take along.
I kept the one on the right and when I see Annette on Friday
I will get the 2 that mine were swapped for.
Had a wonderful week at Matarangi Beach last week
and now half way through my second weeks holiday at home.
Haven't managed to do any patchwork but have completed
the cross stitch I have been working on for the past 6 years.
